November 15 – SYNTHETIC – CLEPSYDRA: TIME AGAINST INFINITY (Rock Of Angels Records)

Founded in 2014 by Simon Charkas (guitar) and singer Sterge B., 2 British musicians who had the ambition to start a studio only project. These former Dimensional Traces members were working on their debut album and during the mixing process they changed their minds, looking for other members to form a full band. Back in early 2016, the line-up was complete, “Here Lies The Truth” saw the crack of dawn as an independent product, release date: March 05th. It is said that this was a successful album where especially fans of Melodic Death Metal had a great time. We make the transition to the year 2020 and with some research I noticed that a single was released, titled ‘Flight Of Icarus’.

Rock Of Angels offered the band a record deal, one led to another and last October, Synthetic released its second album “Clepsydra: Time Against Infinity” with 11 brand new songs on it. FYI: Clepsydra is the Greek word for a water based hourglass. First and foremost I would like to mention that the sound quality is supreme, the cover artwork looks great and the songwriting is mainstream with influences from both Scandinavia and America. There is a good musical balance and especially fans of Melodic Death Metal as well as Progressive/Symphonic Metal, even Metalcore fans will enjoy this new album a lot. READ MORE…
